(a) Relief and drainage
(i) The Chad basin is a low-lying area of an average elevation of 45-60m above the sea-level. It is poorly drained and rivers flow into the Lake Chad e.g Hadeija, Gana and Yobe rivers
(b) Agriculture: Farming types include fishing, cattle rearing, irrigation, arable farming, mixed farming etc. Products of agriculture include food crops like groundnut, vegetables, beans, rice, millet, etc while animal products
include beef, milk, hides and skin, fish etc
(c) problems of development include: Drought, desert encroachment, inadequate natural resources, soil erosion, inadequate capital and low level of technology.
